Abstract The emergence of artificial intelligence has created new possibilities for developing intelligent societies where technology, data, infrastructure, and human capabilities interact to improve social development and quality of life. Smart society frameworks represent an advanced approach to societal transformation by integrating artificial intelligence, digital platforms, data analytics, automation, and connected systems into public and private environments. These frameworks aim to enhance governance efficiency, improve service accessibility, support sustainable development, and create more responsive social systems. This research examines Smart Society Frameworks Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies by analysing how AI-driven solutions contribute to intelligent governance, healthcare innovation, education transformation, urban development, and citizen engagement. The study adopts a conceptual research approach based on existing theoretical perspectives related to artificial intelligence, smart societies, digital transformation, information systems, and sustainable development. The analysis highlights that artificial intelligence enables smart societies through intelligent decision-support systems, predictive analytics, automated services, and personalized digital experiences. AI-based frameworks allow governments and organizations to analyse complex information, optimize resource utilization, and develop evidence-based strategies for addressing social challenges.
The study identifies major challenges associated with AI-enabled smart societies, including data privacy concerns, cybersecurity risks, algorithmic bias, digital inequality, technological dependency, and ethical governance requirements. Successful implementation requires transparent AI practices, inclusive digital infrastructure, responsible data management, and human-centred technology design. The research concludes that artificial intelligence-based smart society frameworks provide significant opportunities for creating adaptive, efficient, and sustainable communities. Future smart societies will depend on balancing technological innovation with social responsibility, ethical governance, and human participation.
