| Abstract | The continuous evolution of communication technologies has significantly influenced the way individuals, organizations, and societies exchange information, create knowledge, and establish social connections. Emerging communication technologies including advanced wireless networks, artificial intelligence-driven communication systems, Internet of Things platforms, quantum communication, and immersive digital environments are expected to reshape future social structures and human interactions. These technologies provide opportunities for faster connectivity, improved accessibility, intelligent information exchange, and enhanced collaboration across geographical boundaries. This research examines Future Communication Technologies and Their Societal Impact by analysing the relationship between technological advancement and social transformation. The study adopts a conceptual research approach based on existing theoretical perspectives related to communication technology, digital transformation, social innovation, artificial intelligence, and information society development. The analysis highlights that future communication technologies will influence major areas of society including education, healthcare, governance, business, employment, and interpersonal relationships. Intelligent communication networks can improve service accessibility, enable real-time collaboration, and support the development of connected societies. The study also identifies critical challenges associated with future communication technologies, including digital inequality, cybersecurity threats, privacy concerns, technological dependency, misinformation, and ethical issues. Effective management of these challenges requires inclusive policies, responsible innovation frameworks, and human-centred technology development. The research concludes that future communication technologies will become fundamental drivers of societal transformation. Their long-term impact will depend not only on technological capability but also on how societies adopt, regulate, and integrate these technologies to support inclusive, secure, and sustainable development. |
