| Abstract | The increasing integration of digital technologies into social systems has created new opportunities for communities to develop innovative solutions for local challenges. Technology-enabled community innovation represents an emerging approach that combines digital tools, collective intelligence, local knowledge, and participatory practices to address social, economic, and environmental issues. Unlike conventional innovation models driven primarily by institutions or organizations, community innovation emphasizes collaboration among citizens, local groups, social organizations, and technology providers. This research examines Technology-Enabled Community Innovation for Social Development by analysing how digital technologies support community participation, social problem-solving, knowledge sharing, and inclusive development. The study adopts a conceptual research approach based on theoretical perspectives related to social innovation, digital transformation, community development, technology adoption, and participatory governance. The analysis highlights that technologies such as digital platforms, mobile applications, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and online collaboration systems strengthen community capabilities by improving communication, resource coordination, service accessibility, and collective decision-making. Technology-enabled approaches allow communities to identify local problems, design innovative solutions, and create sustainable development pathways. The study identifies major challenges associated with technology-enabled community innovation, including digital inequality, limited technological skills, infrastructure constraints, sustainability issues, data privacy concerns, and difficulties in maintaining long-term participation. Effective implementation requires inclusive technology design, community capacity building, supportive institutions, and responsible digital governance. |
