Abstract The rapid expansion of scientific publications, interdisciplinary research activities, and digital knowledge resources has created significant challenges in managing and discovering valuable research information. Traditional approaches to scientific knowledge discovery often depend on manual literature analysis, expert interpretation, and limited information-processing capabilities. Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Driven Knowledge Discovery has emerged as an advanced approach that enables researchers and institutions to analyse large-scale scientific data, identify hidden patterns, and generate meaningful research insights. This research examines AI-driven knowledge discovery in scientific research networks and explores how artificial intelligence technologies support research intelligence, collaboration development, innovation discovery, and scientific advancement. The study adopts a conceptual research approach based on existing theoretical perspectives related to artificial intelligence, knowledge management, scientific informatics, research analytics, and digital transformation of scholarly communication.
The analysis highlights that AI-driven knowledge discovery frameworks improve scientific research capabilities through machine learning, natural language processing, knowledge graphs, automated literature analysis, and predictive research modelling. These technologies enable researchers to identify emerging research trends, discover interdisciplinary connections, evaluate scientific contributions, and develop new knowledge pathways. The study identifies key challenges associated with AI-supported scientific discovery, including data quality limitations, algorithmic bias, explainability issues, research integrity concerns, and difficulties in integrating diverse scientific information sources. Effective implementation requires transparent AI frameworks, reliable research data management, ethical governance, and collaboration between researchers and intelligent systems.
The research concludes that AI-driven knowledge discovery represents a transformative approach for future scientific ecosystems. By combining artificial intelligence capabilities with human expertise, scientific communities can accelerate discovery processes, strengthen research collaboration, and develop innovative solutions for complex global challenges.
