| Abstract | The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed traditional business structures and created new opportunities for platform-based economic models. Digital platforms have emerged as powerful mechanisms for connecting customers, businesses, service providers, and technology partners within interconnected ecosystems. Unlike conventional business models that focus primarily on internal capabilities and linear value chains, digital platforms enable collaborative value creation through network interactions, data exchange, and ecosystem participation. This research examines Digital Platform Innovation and New Business Ecosystem Development by analysing how digital platforms influence innovation processes, market structures, organizational strategies, and value creation mechanisms. The study adopts a conceptual research approach based on existing theoretical perspectives related to platform economics, digital transformation, innovation management, ecosystem theory, and technology strategy. The analysis highlights that digital platforms support business ecosystem development through network effects, data-driven intelligence, scalable infrastructure, and collaborative innovation. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data analytics, and digital marketplaces enable organizations to create flexible and adaptive platform environments. The study identifies significant challenges associated with digital platform innovation, including platform governance, data privacy, cybersecurity risks, market dependency, competition concerns, and ecosystem management complexity. Successful platform development requires strategic leadership, effective governance mechanisms, technological capabilities, and stakeholder trust. The research concludes that digital platform innovation represents a fundamental shift in modern business ecosystems. Future organizations will increasingly depend on platform-based strategies that integrate technology, collaboration, and continuous innovation to create sustainable competitive advantages. |
