Future-Oriented Innovation Strategies for Global Development: Architectural Frameworks for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation

| Abstract | Global economic development is increasingly defined by rapid technological divergence, environmental constraints, and institutional volatility. Traditional models of technology transfer and linear economic catch-up are no longer sufficient to address the complex challenges faced by emerging and developed economies alike. This paper proposes a comprehensive, future-oriented innovation framework designed to foster sustainable socio-economic transformation across heterogeneous development contexts. Synthesizing principles from evolutionary economics, institutional foresight, and socio-technical transition theories, the study evaluates strategic mechanisms for building resilient National Systems of Innovation (NSI). Utilizing a mixed-methods analytical approach, we examine the structural determinants of innovation adoption, institutional readiness, and policy effectiveness across diverse global regions. The findings highlight that sustainable development requires a transition from reactive technology absorption to proactive, foresight-driven innovation architectures that prioritize indigenous capacity building, inclusive governance, and ecological alignment. The paper concludes with strategic recommendations for policymakers, international institutions, and private enterprise leaders seeking to align innovation pathways with long-term global development goals. |
