| Abstract | The rapid expansion of financial technology has transformed the structure, operation, and accessibility of modern financial systems, particularly within emerging digital economies. FinTech innovations such as digital payment platforms, mobile banking systems, blockchain applications, artificial intelligence-based financial services, and regulatory technology solutions have created new opportunities for improving financial inclusion, efficiency, and economic participation. However, the accelerated growth of technology-driven financial ecosystems has also introduced complex governance requirements related to cybersecurity, data protection, consumer rights, regulatory coordination, and responsible innovation. This conceptual research article examines the role of financial technology governance in emerging digital economies and explores how governance frameworks influence the sustainable development of digital financial ecosystems. The study analyses major governance dimensions including regulatory approaches, technological risk management, data privacy mechanisms, ethical artificial intelligence practices, and institutional coordination. The research highlights the importance of establishing balanced governance structures that encourage innovation while ensuring financial stability, security, and public trust. The study identifies that effective FinTech governance requires collaboration among governments, regulatory authorities, financial institutions, technology companies, and consumers. Emerging economies require adaptive regulatory models capable of responding to rapid technological changes while supporting innovation and financial inclusion. The findings suggest that responsible governance frameworks can strengthen digital financial ecosystems by improving transparency, reducing systemic risks, and promoting sustainable technology adoption. The research concludes that FinTech governance is not merely a regulatory requirement but a strategic foundation for developing resilient and inclusive digital economies. Future financial systems will depend on governance approaches that integrate technological advancement with ethical responsibility, security protection, and long-term economic development objectives. |
