| Abstract | The increasing complexity of modern financial systems has created a strong demand for advanced analytical approaches capable of improving decision-making accuracy, efficiency, and risk management. Traditional financial decision processes often rely on historical information, statistical models, and expert judgement, which may face limitations when dealing with large-scale, dynamic, and highly interconnected financial data. Machine Learning (ML) has emerged as a transformative technology that enables financial institutions to analyse complex datasets, identify hidden patterns, generate predictive insights, and optimize strategic financial decisions. This conceptual research article examines the applications of machine learning in financial decision optimization and explores its contribution to areas such as risk assessment, investment management, fraud detection, credit evaluation, and predictive financial analysis. The study analyses how machine learning algorithms support data-driven decision-making by improving forecasting capabilities, automating analytical processes, and enhancing financial performance evaluation. The research highlights that machine learning provides significant advantages by enabling adaptive models capable of learning from new financial information and improving decision accuracy over time. However, successful implementation requires addressing important challenges related to data quality, model transparency, cybersecurity, ethical considerations, and regulatory compliance. Financial institutions must establish balanced frameworks that combine technological capabilities with responsible governance and human expertise. The study concludes that machine learning represents a strategic foundation for developing intelligent financial decision systems. By integrating advanced analytical techniques with effective management practices, financial organizations can improve resilience, optimize resource allocation, and create more efficient financial ecosystems. |
