Abstract The increasing complexity of agricultural challenges, including climate variability, resource limitations, population growth, and changing food demands, has accelerated the adoption of digital innovation models for improving agricultural productivity. Digital transformation in agriculture integrates advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing, cloud computing, automation, and data analytics to improve farming efficiency and decision-making. This conceptual research article examines digital innovation models for agricultural productivity enhancement by analysing technology-driven farming approaches, digital transformation strategies, data-based agricultural management, and innovation adoption frameworks. The study adopts a conceptual research methodology based on the synthesis of scholarly literature, digital agriculture frameworks, smart farming models, and agricultural innovation studies.
The analysis indicates that digital innovation models contribute to improved productivity by enabling precision management, predictive decision-making, optimized resource utilization, and enhanced knowledge sharing among agricultural stakeholders. However, challenges related to digital infrastructure, technological affordability, farmer skills, data governance, and adoption barriers continue to influence successful implementation. The study concludes that sustainable agricultural productivity improvement requires integrated digital innovation models combining technological advancement, farmer participation, supportive policies, and inclusive digital transformation strategies.
