| Abstract | The increasing global demand for food, climate variability, resource limitations, and environmental pressures have created significant challenges for achieving sustainable food security. Smart agriculture technologies have emerged as transformative approaches that integrate digital innovations, data analytics, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing, automation, and precision farming techniques to improve agricultural productivity and resource efficiency. This conceptual research article examines the role of smart agriculture technologies in supporting sustainable food security by analysing technological applications, agricultural sustainability strategies, resource management approaches, and future development opportunities. The study adopts a conceptual research methodology based on the synthesis of scholarly literature, digital agriculture frameworks, sustainable farming models, and technology-driven agricultural practices. The analysis indicates that smart agriculture technologies can enhance crop monitoring, optimize resource utilization, improve climate resilience, and support evidence-based agricultural decision-making. However, challenges related to technology accessibility, digital infrastructure, farmer skills, data management, and economic constraints remain significant barriers to widespread adoption. The study concludes that sustainable food security requires integrated smart agriculture frameworks combining technological innovation, farmer empowerment, environmental responsibility, and inclusive agricultural development strategies. |
