Abstract The increasing influence of technological disruption has transformed the global business environment by altering organizational structures, competitive strategies, value creation mechanisms, and stakeholder relationships. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, Internet of Things, automation, and advanced analytics have enabled organizations to redesign their operational systems while simultaneously creating new challenges related to sustainability, ethical governance, and long-term resilience. In this changing environment, sustainable business models have emerged as strategic approaches that integrate economic performance with environmental responsibility and social value creation.
This research examines the development of sustainable business models within the context of technological disruption and explores how organizations can utilize digital capabilities to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. The study adopts a conceptual analytical approach based on existing theoretical perspectives related to sustainable innovation, digital transformation, circular economy principles, and responsible technology management. The research develops an integrated understanding of how technological advancement influences business model transformation and sustainability-oriented organizational practices.
The analysis indicates that successful sustainable business models require a balanced integration of technological innovation, resource efficiency, stakeholder engagement, ethical decision-making, and adaptive strategic capabilities. The study highlights that technology should not be considered only as an efficiency-enhancement mechanism but as a strategic enabler for sustainable value creation.
