| Abstract | The increasing environmental challenges associated with climate change, resource consumption, and industrial growth have created a strong demand for digital transformation strategies that support sustainable development. Traditional digital transformation approaches often focus primarily on operational efficiency and economic performance while giving limited attention to environmental consequences. Green digital transformation has emerged as an advanced approach that integrates digital technologies with sustainability principles to reduce environmental impacts, optimize resource utilization, and improve ecological performance. This study examines green digital transformation strategies for environmental sustainability by analysing their contribution to carbon reduction, resource efficiency, digital sustainability performance, and environmental management improvement. The research explores key green digital technologies including artificial intelligence-based sustainability analytics, Internet of Things-enabled resource monitoring, cloud-based green computing, digital energy management systems, and intelligent environmental platforms. A simulation-based analytical framework is developed to compare conventional digital transformation approaches with green digital strategies using evaluation indicators including carbon reduction capability, resource optimization, sustainability performance, and technological efficiency. The findings demonstrate that green digital transformation strategies significantly improve environmental sustainability outcomes by enabling intelligent resource management, reducing operational waste, and supporting data-driven environmental decisions. The results indicate that digital technologies combined with sustainability objectives provide effective pathways for developing environmentally responsible organizations and ecosystems. However, successful implementation requires addressing challenges related to digital infrastructure, data governance, investment requirements, technology integration, and organizational adaptation. The study contributes to digital sustainability and environmental technology research by presenting green digital transformation as a strategic framework for achieving sustainable development goals. The integration of advanced digital technologies with ecological responsibility can support the creation of efficient, resilient, and environmentally sustainable systems. |
