Abstract The increasing impact of climate change, resource limitations, and environmental degradation has created a critical need for sustainable technology innovations capable of supporting low-carbon development pathways. Conventional development models based on fossil fuel dependency and resource-intensive industrial activities have contributed significantly to greenhouse gas emissions and ecological challenges. Sustainable technologies have emerged as important solutions by enabling cleaner production systems, renewable energy adoption, efficient resource utilization, and environmentally responsible development strategies.
This study examines sustainable technology innovations for low-carbon development pathways by analysing their contribution to carbon reduction efficiency, energy sustainability, resource optimization, and environmental performance improvement. The research explores key sustainable technologies including renewable energy systems, energy-efficient technologies, green manufacturing solutions, smart resource management platforms, and carbon monitoring frameworks. A simulation-based analytical methodology is developed to compare conventional technology approaches with sustainable innovation models using evaluation indicators including emission reduction capability, energy efficiency, sustainability performance, and technological adaptability.
The findings demonstrate that sustainable technology innovations significantly improve low-carbon development outcomes by reducing environmental impacts and supporting efficient resource management. The results indicate that renewable technologies, intelligent monitoring systems, and green innovation strategies provide essential foundations for carbon-neutral development pathways. However, successful implementation requires addressing challenges related to technology adoption, infrastructure transformation, financial investment, policy coordination, and organizational readiness.
The study contributes to sustainable development and environmental technology research by presenting sustainable innovations as strategic mechanisms for achieving low-carbon transformation. The integration of advanced technologies, renewable solutions, and responsible innovation approaches can support resilient economic growth while reducing carbon emissions and environmental pressures.
