| Abstract | Adolescence represents a critical developmental stage characterized by significant emotional, psychological, social, and behavioural changes. During this period, family relationships and communication patterns play an important role in shaping emotional stability, coping abilities, self-confidence, and overall mental health. Effective family communication provides adolescents with emotional security, guidance, and social support, whereas poor communication patterns may contribute to stress, emotional difficulties, and psychological vulnerability. This study examines the relationship between family communication patterns and adolescent mental health through a simulation-based analytical framework. The research evaluates how open communication, emotional support, parental responsiveness, and family interaction quality influence adolescent psychological well-being. A simulated dataset representing different levels of family communication quality was developed to analyse its relationship with emotional stability, stress management, self-esteem, and mental health outcomes among adolescents. The findings indicate that adolescents experiencing supportive and open family communication demonstrate improved psychological well-being, stronger emotional regulation, and better coping abilities. Positive communication environments contribute to trust development, emotional expression, and effective problem-solving. In contrast, limited communication, conflict-oriented interactions, and emotional distance are associated with increased psychological challenges. The study highlights that family communication functions as an important protective factor for adolescent mental health. Strengthening supportive communication practices, encouraging emotional openness, and developing positive parent–adolescent relationships can contribute significantly to psychological resilience. The research contributes to understanding how family interaction patterns influence adolescent mental health within contemporary social environments. |
