| Abstract | Periods of uncertainty, including social disruption, economic instability, health-related concerns, and rapid environmental changes, can significantly influence psychological well-being and human adaptation. During such situations, individuals often experience increased emotional stress, anxiety, reduced sense of control, and difficulties in maintaining psychological stability. Social support has emerged as an important protective resource that helps individuals manage stressful experiences and develop psychological resilience. This study examines the relationship between social support and psychological resilience during periods of uncertainty through a simulation-based analytical framework. The research evaluates how emotional support, informational assistance, social connectedness, and interpersonal resources influence resilience outcomes. A simulated dataset representing different levels of social support availability was developed to analyse its influence on coping ability, emotional stability, adaptive behaviour, and psychological well-being. The findings indicate that individuals with stronger social support systems demonstrate higher levels of psychological resilience and improved ability to manage uncertain situations. Emotional encouragement, meaningful relationships, and supportive communication contribute to improved coping mechanisms and reduced psychological vulnerability. However, limited social connections, isolation, communication barriers, and unequal access to support resources may reduce individuals’ capacity to adapt effectively. The study highlights that social support functions as a critical psychological resource during uncertain periods by strengthening emotional regulation, confidence, and adaptive capacity. Developing supportive social environments, strengthening community networks, and promoting accessible psychological resources are essential for enhancing resilience. The research contributes to understanding the role of interpersonal relationships in protecting psychological well-being during challenging circumstances. |
