| Abstract | The increasing pressure on natural resources, rapid industrial expansion, and growing environmental degradation have highlighted the necessity of alternative economic models that support long-term sustainability. The circular economy has emerged as a transformative approach that challenges the traditional linear production system based on extraction, consumption, and disposal. This research examines the strategic role of circular economy practices in sustainable resource management by analysing approaches related to resource efficiency, waste minimization, material recovery, product life extension, and regenerative production systems. The study adopts a conceptual and analytical research framework based on existing scholarly literature, sustainability models, and circular economy implementation strategies. The analysis identifies that circular strategies can significantly enhance resource productivity, reduce environmental footprints, and support sustainable industrial development when integrated with technological innovation, responsible consumption patterns, and effective policy frameworks. The study further discusses major implementation barriers, including infrastructure limitations, technological challenges, behavioural resistance, and regulatory complexities. The findings suggest that circular economy adoption requires coordinated efforts among industries, governments, researchers, and consumers to establish resilient resource management systems. This study contributes to sustainability research by providing an integrated understanding of circular strategies and their potential contribution toward achieving environmentally responsible and economically viable development pathways. |
