| Abstract | The increasing environmental impact of industrial production systems has created a strong demand for sustainable manufacturing approaches that reduce resource consumption, minimize emissions, and improve lifecycle efficiency. Traditional manufacturing processes often involve significant energy usage, material waste generation, and environmental burdens throughout production stages. Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) has emerged as an important analytical methodology for evaluating environmental impacts from raw material extraction to product disposal. This study examines the role of Life-Cycle Assessment in evaluating and improving sustainable manufacturing processes. The research explores how lifecycle impact analysis, resource efficiency assessment, energy optimization, waste reduction strategies, and circular manufacturing practices contribute to environmentally responsible production systems. A conceptual analytical framework supported by simulated observations is developed to evaluate the influence of LCA-based strategies on sustainable manufacturing performance. The findings indicate that lifecycle impact reduction, energy efficiency improvement, resource utilization optimization, waste minimization, and circular production practices significantly contribute to sustainable manufacturing outcomes. However, challenges including data availability, assessment complexity, implementation costs, methodological variations, and industrial adoption barriers continue to influence widespread application. The study contributes to sustainable manufacturing and environmental engineering research by highlighting the importance of lifecycle-based decision-making for achieving industrial sustainability. The findings provide practical implications for manufacturers, sustainability managers, researchers, and policymakers seeking effective approaches for reducing environmental impacts and improving production efficiency. |
