| Abstract | University students increasingly experience mental health challenges associated with academic pressure, social transitions, financial concerns, and changing educational environments. Traditional mental health support services often face limitations related to accessibility, stigma, resource availability, and delayed intervention. Digital mental health interventions have emerged as innovative approaches that provide flexible, accessible, and scalable psychological support through online platforms, mobile applications, virtual counseling systems, and digital self-help resources. This study examines the role of digital mental health interventions in supporting university students’ psychological well-being. The research explores how digital counseling platforms, mental health applications, online cognitive behavioral therapy programs, self-monitoring tools, and virtual support systems influence stress management, emotional regulation, and student well-being. A conceptual analytical framework supported by simulated observations is developed to evaluate the contribution of digital interventions toward improving university mental health support. The findings indicate that digital mental health interventions positively influence student well-being by increasing accessibility, promoting early support, improving self-awareness, and encouraging continuous engagement with mental health resources. However, challenges including privacy concerns, digital literacy limitations, reduced personal interaction, technology acceptance issues, and variations in intervention effectiveness continue to influence implementation. The study contributes to digital health and educational psychology research by highlighting the importance of technology-supported mental health strategies within university environments. The findings provide practical implications for higher education institutions, counselors, policymakers, and digital health developers seeking effective approaches for improving student psychological support. |
