| Abstract | The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into healthcare has created new opportunities for improving clinical decision-making, diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and patient-centered care delivery. Artificial Intelligence–Enabled Clinical Decision Support Systems (AI-CDSS) are increasingly being adopted to assist healthcare professionals by analysing complex medical information, identifying patterns, and providing evidence-based recommendations. These systems have the potential to improve healthcare quality while supporting personalized and efficient clinical practices. This study examines the role of AI-enabled clinical decision support in strengthening patient-centered care. The research explores how AI-assisted diagnosis, predictive analytics, personalized treatment recommendations, clinical workflow support, and patient information management influence healthcare outcomes. A conceptual analytical framework supported by simulated observations is developed to evaluate the contribution of AI-based decision support toward improving patient-centered healthcare practices. The findings indicate that AI-enabled clinical decision support positively influences healthcare delivery by improving clinical accuracy, decision efficiency, treatment personalization, and patient engagement. However, challenges including data privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, lack of clinician trust, technological infrastructure limitations, and ethical issues continue to affect successful implementation. The study contributes to healthcare informatics and digital health research by highlighting the importance of balancing AI innovation with human-centered clinical practices. The findings provide practical implications for healthcare institutions, clinicians, policymakers, and technology developers seeking responsible approaches for integrating AI into patient care. |
