| Abstract | Inclusive education aims to ensure that all learners have equal opportunities to participate, engage, and succeed within educational environments. However, students with diverse learning needs may experience barriers related to communication, accessibility, interaction, and participation. Assistive technologies have emerged as important educational tools that support inclusive learning by improving accessibility, independence, and classroom engagement. This study examines the role of assistive technologies in promoting inclusive classroom participation. The research explores how accessibility tools, adaptive learning systems, communication support technologies, digital learning resources, and personalized learning assistance influence student engagement and participation. A conceptual analytical framework supported by simulated observations is developed to evaluate the contribution of assistive technologies toward creating more inclusive classroom environments. The findings indicate that assistive technologies positively influence classroom participation by improving accessibility, supporting communication, increasing learner confidence, and enabling personalized educational experiences. However, challenges including technology affordability, teacher preparedness, infrastructure limitations, accessibility design issues, and privacy concerns continue to affect effective implementation. The study contributes to inclusive education and educational technology research by explaining how assistive technologies can reduce learning barriers and support equitable participation. The findings provide practical implications for educators, institutions, policymakers, and technology developers seeking effective approaches for creating accessible and inclusive learning environments. |
