| Abstract | The integration of digital technologies into language education has introduced innovative approaches for improving communication skills, learner engagement, and creative expression. Digital storytelling has emerged as an effective pedagogical approach that combines traditional storytelling practices with multimedia technologies, enabling students to create, organize, and present narratives through digital formats. This approach provides opportunities for developing creativity, critical thinking, language proficiency, and meaningful learning experiences. This study examines the relationship between digital storytelling and creative thinking development in language education. The research explores how multimedia creation, narrative construction, collaborative activities, digital expression, and reflective learning processes influence students’ creative abilities and language learning outcomes. A conceptual analytical framework supported by simulated observations is developed to evaluate the contribution of digital storytelling toward enhancing creative thinking skills. The findings indicate that digital storytelling can positively influence creativity by encouraging idea generation, problem-solving, imagination, communication skills, and learner participation. However, challenges including technological accessibility, digital literacy gaps, limited instructional training, time requirements, and assessment difficulties continue to affect implementation. The study contributes to language education and digital pedagogy research by explaining how technology-supported storytelling practices can transform traditional language learning into creative and learner-centered experiences. The findings provide practical implications for educators, curriculum designers, and educational institutions seeking effective strategies for developing creativity through digital learning approaches. |
