| Abstract | The integration of virtual reality (VR) technologies into science education has introduced new possibilities for experiential learning by enabling students to interact with complex scientific concepts through immersive and simulated environments. Traditional science education methods often rely on textbooks, lectures, and laboratory activities that may not always provide direct access to complex phenomena, hazardous experiments, or abstract scientific processes. Virtual reality offers an innovative approach by creating interactive learning experiences that enhance conceptual understanding and student engagement. This study examines the role of virtual reality-based experiential learning in science education. The research explores how immersive simulations, interactive scientific environments, virtual laboratories, and three-dimensional visualization tools influence student learning experiences and academic outcomes. A conceptual analytical framework supported by simulated observations is developed to evaluate the contribution of VR technologies toward improving science learning effectiveness. The findings indicate that VR-based experiential learning can enhance scientific understanding, improve learner engagement, and support active knowledge construction. Virtual environments allow students to explore scientific concepts through observation, experimentation, and interaction. However, challenges including high implementation costs, technological accessibility, teacher preparedness, motion-related difficulties, and curriculum integration issues continue to affect adoption. The study contributes to educational technology and science education research by explaining how virtual reality can transform traditional learning approaches into immersive and experience-based educational models. The findings provide practical implications for educators, institutions, policymakers, and technology developers seeking effective strategies for implementing VR-supported science education. |
