| Abstract | The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into higher education has introduced new possibilities for personalized learning by enabling adaptive instruction, intelligent feedback systems, and data-driven educational support. Traditional teaching approaches often rely on standardized learning methods that may not fully address individual differences in student abilities, learning preferences, and academic needs. AI-supported personalized learning systems provide opportunities to create more flexible and learner-centered educational environments. This study examines the role of artificial intelligence in supporting personalized learning within higher education institutions. The research explores how AI-driven adaptive platforms, automated feedback mechanisms, learning analytics, personalized content delivery, and intelligent tutoring systems influence student engagement and academic experiences. A conceptual analytical framework supported by simulated observations is developed to evaluate the contribution of AI technologies toward personalized learning effectiveness. The findings indicate that AI-supported learning systems can enhance educational personalization by improving learner engagement, providing timely feedback, and supporting individualized academic pathways. However, challenges including data privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, technological accessibility, faculty readiness, and ethical considerations continue to influence successful implementation. The study contributes to educational technology and higher education research by explaining how artificial intelligence can transform teaching and learning practices. The findings provide practical implications for educators, institutional leaders, technology developers, and policymakers seeking responsible approaches to implementing AI-based personalized learning systems. |
