| Abstract | Financial stress has become an important factor affecting the psychological well-being, academic performance, and overall quality of life among university students. Increasing educational expenses, living costs, limited financial resources, employment pressures, and uncertainty regarding future career opportunities contribute to financial concerns among students. These pressures may influence emotional health, stress levels, motivation, academic engagement, and social functioning. This study examines the relationship between financial stress and psychological well-being among university students. The research explores how financial difficulties influence anxiety, emotional stability, academic experiences, coping behaviour, and overall mental well-being. A conceptual analytical framework supported by simulated observations is developed to evaluate the relationship between financial stress indicators and psychological outcomes. The findings indicate that higher levels of financial stress are associated with increased psychological pressure, reduced emotional well-being, lower academic confidence, and greater concerns about future financial security. The study also identifies challenges including limited financial literacy, inadequate financial support systems, rising educational expenses, and difficulties in balancing academic responsibilities with financial obligations. The research contributes to educational psychology, student development, and financial well-being literature by explaining the interaction between economic pressures and psychological outcomes. The findings provide practical implications for universities, policymakers, student support services, and educational institutions seeking to develop effective financial and mental health support frameworks. |
