| Abstract | The rapid expansion of cryptocurrency markets has introduced significant changes within the global financial system, particularly in emerging economies where digital financial innovation is increasingly influencing investment behaviour, payment systems, and financial accessibility. Cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based assets provide new opportunities for financial inclusion, decentralized transactions, and alternative investment mechanisms. However, their increasing adoption also raises concerns regarding market volatility, regulatory uncertainty, financial risks, and potential implications for financial stability. This study examines the relationship between cryptocurrency market development and financial stability in emerging economies. The research explores how cryptocurrency adoption influences financial accessibility, investment behaviour, market efficiency, and systemic financial risks. A conceptual analytical framework supported by simulated observations is developed to evaluate the potential impact of cryptocurrency market characteristics on financial stability indicators. The findings suggest that cryptocurrency markets can contribute positively through technological innovation and expanded financial participation, but excessive volatility and limited regulatory frameworks may create significant financial vulnerabilities. The study highlights the importance of balanced regulatory approaches that encourage innovation while maintaining financial system stability. Effective governance, investor protection mechanisms, market transparency, and technological awareness are identified as essential factors for managing cryptocurrency-related risks. The research contributes to financial economics literature by explaining the complex relationship between digital asset markets and financial stability in emerging economies. |
