| Abstract | In contemporary organizations, employee commitment has become an essential factor influencing organizational stability, productivity, and long-term success. Beyond traditional motivational approaches, organizations are increasingly recognizing the importance of workplace spirituality as a means of developing meaningful work experiences, shared values, and stronger employee–organization relationships. Workplace spirituality does not necessarily represent religious practices but focuses on creating environments where employees experience purpose, belonging, ethical alignment, and personal fulfilment. This study examines the relationship between workplace spirituality and employee commitment by analysing how meaningful work, organizational values, and a sense of community influence employee attachment toward organizations. The study adopts a conceptual research approach based on existing theoretical perspectives related to workplace spirituality, organizational commitment, employee engagement, and organizational behaviour. The analysis explores key dimensions of workplace spirituality, including meaningful work, alignment with organizational values, employee connection, and supportive workplace culture. The findings indicate that organizations promoting workplace spirituality are more likely to develop stronger employee commitment by enhancing psychological attachment, workplace satisfaction, and organizational identification. Employees who perceive their work as meaningful and aligned with organizational values often demonstrate higher levels of loyalty and willingness to contribute. However, challenges such as misunderstanding of spirituality concepts, cultural differences, and difficulties in measuring spiritual workplace outcomes may influence implementation. The study highlights that workplace spirituality can serve as a valuable organizational approach for strengthening employee commitment. By creating workplaces based on purpose, trust, and shared values, organizations can improve employee experiences and develop sustainable human resource practices. |
