| Abstract | In customer-oriented organizations, service quality has become a critical factor influencing customer satisfaction, loyalty, and organizational competitiveness. Employees who directly interact with customers play an essential role in shaping service experiences and organizational reputation. Employee empowerment has emerged as an important management approach that enables employees to make decisions, solve customer problems, and deliver responsive services. This study examines the relationship between employee empowerment and service quality by exploring how workforce autonomy, decision-making authority, training, and organizational support contribute to improved customer-oriented performance. The study adopts a conceptual research approach based on existing literature related to employee empowerment, service management, organizational behaviour, and customer satisfaction. The analysis focuses on major empowerment dimensions, including autonomy, employee participation, information access, skill development, and managerial support. The findings indicate that empowered employees are more capable of responding effectively to customer needs and delivering personalized service experiences. Organizations that encourage employee involvement and decision-making flexibility often achieve higher levels of service quality and customer satisfaction. However, challenges such as inadequate training, managerial resistance, unclear responsibilities, and limited organizational support may reduce the effectiveness of empowerment initiatives. The study highlights that employee empowerment should be considered a strategic component of service management rather than only an operational practice. By creating supportive environments where employees are trusted and equipped with necessary resources, customer-oriented organizations can improve service quality and develop stronger customer relationships. |
