Abstract The evolution of digital technologies and changing employee expectations have significantly transformed traditional workplace structures. Hybrid working arrangements have emerged as an important organizational model that combines remote work flexibility with physical workplace interaction. This transformation has encouraged organizations to reconsider conventional organizational designs and develop more adaptive, technology-enabled, and employee-centred workplace systems. This study examines the influence of hybrid working arrangements on the future of organizational design by analysing how flexible work models affect collaboration, leadership practices, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. The study adopts a conceptual research approach based on existing literature related to workplace transformation, digital collaboration, organizational behaviour, and human resource management. The analysis explores major dimensions of hybrid work, including workplace flexibility, digital infrastructure, communication systems, leadership adaptation, and employee autonomy.
The findings indicate that hybrid working arrangements provide organizations with opportunities to improve workforce flexibility, enhance employee satisfaction, and support more agile organizational structures. However, successful implementation requires effective communication frameworks, inclusive leadership practices, technology investment, and strategies to maintain organizational culture. The study highlights that the future of organizational design will increasingly depend on balancing technological capability with human-centred workplace practices. Hybrid work should not be viewed merely as an alternative working location but as a strategic transformation of how organizations structure processes, relationships, and employee experiences.
