Abstract The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed competitive business environments by increasing market uncertainty, accelerating innovation cycles, and changing customer expectations. Organisations operating in technology-driven markets require new leadership capabilities to effectively manage digital transformation and maintain strategic flexibility. Digital leadership has emerged as an important organisational capability that combines technological understanding, strategic vision, innovation orientation, and adaptive decision-making to support organisational agility. This study examines the relationship between digital leadership and organisational agility in technology-driven markets. The research adopts a conceptual methodology based on existing literature related to digital transformation, strategic leadership, organisational capabilities, and innovation management. The study analyses how digital leadership practices influence organisational responsiveness, technological adaptation, innovation capacity, and decision-making effectiveness.
The findings indicate that digital leadership contributes significantly to organisational agility by promoting digital innovation, encouraging collaborative cultures, improving technology adoption, and enabling faster responses to market changes. However, organisations face challenges related to leadership capability gaps, cultural resistance, technological complexity, and continuous skill development requirements. The study concludes that digital leadership is not limited to technology management but represents a broader strategic capability that enables organisations to navigate uncertain digital environments. Organisations that develop effective digital leadership approaches can achieve greater flexibility, innovation capability, and long-term competitiveness in technology-driven markets.
