| Abstract | Electronic voting systems have gained increasing attention as governments and institutions explore secure digital alternatives to conventional voting mechanisms. However, concerns related to election integrity, voter authentication, data manipulation, privacy protection, and system transparency continue to limit widespread adoption of electronic voting technologies. Blockchain and biometric authentication provide promising solutions for addressing these challenges by combining decentralized data management with reliable identity verification mechanisms. This study investigates a secure electronic voting framework that integrates blockchain technology and biometric authentication for improving voting reliability and transparency. A simulation-based research approach is adopted to evaluate the contribution of blockchain-based distributed storage, biometric identity verification, and cryptographic security mechanisms in protecting digital voting processes. The proposed framework analyses important security parameters including authentication accuracy, transaction integrity, resistance against unauthorized access, and system transparency. The simulated findings indicate that blockchain-enabled voting architectures can strengthen auditability and reduce risks associated with centralized control, while biometric authentication enhances voter identity validation. However, challenges related to biometric privacy, scalability, regulatory acceptance, and technological accessibility remain important considerations. The study highlights the potential of integrated blockchain and biometric solutions for developing secure, transparent, and trustworthy electronic voting environments. |
