| Abstract | The increasing dependence of organizations on digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and data-driven decision-making has transformed data into a strategic organizational asset. However, the rapid generation and utilization of enterprise data have created significant challenges related to data quality, privacy protection, ethical usage, regulatory compliance, and responsible innovation. Data governance frameworks have emerged as essential mechanisms for ensuring that organizational data assets are managed securely, transparently, and effectively while supporting sustainable innovation. This research examines the role of data governance frameworks in enabling responsible organizational innovation. The study explores key governance dimensions including data quality management, security controls, privacy protection, ethical data practices, accountability mechanisms, and strategic data utilization. A simulation-based evaluation framework is developed to compare traditional data management approaches with structured data governance models based on operational efficiency, compliance readiness, innovation capability, and stakeholder trust. The simulated findings indicate that organizations implementing mature data governance frameworks achieve improved data reliability, stronger regulatory alignment, enhanced innovation capacity, and increased confidence among stakeholders. The study highlights that responsible innovation requires not only technological advancement but also effective governance structures that ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical decision-making. The research concludes that integrated data governance frameworks provide a foundation for organizations seeking to achieve sustainable digital transformation. |
